What is Acylex?
Acylex contains acyclovir, an antiviral medicine.
It’s used to treat infections caused by the herpes virus, including cold sores and genital herpes.
Acyclovir decreases the severity and duration of outbreaks.
It helps sores heal faster, prevents new sores, and reduces pain and itching¹.
How to Use:
Apply Acylex ointment only to the skin.
Avoid getting it in your eyes; if accidental contact occurs, rinse with water.
Begin using it as soon as herpes symptoms appear.
Clean and dry affected areas before applying.
Use a finger cot or glove to prevent spreading the infection.
Apply enough ointment to cover all sores, usually every 3 hours, 6 times a day.
Continue treatment for the full prescribed duration.
If no improvement after 7 days, consult your doctor².
Side Effects:
Mild, temporary burning or stinging may occur during application.
Serious allergic reactions are rare but seek medical help if you experience rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, or trouble breathing.
