Overview:
Oxidil 2G IV Injection contains Ceftriaxone at a higher dose for more severe infections. This is typically used when higher concentrations of the antibiotic are required to treat life-threatening bacterial infections.
Uses:
Treats severe respiratory and genitourinary infections
Effective against bone and joint infections, abdominal infections, sepsis, and bacterial meningitis
Used in the treatment of severe infections requiring higher antibiotic doses
Side Effects:
Common: Injection site reactions (pain, swelling), rash, diarrhea
Less Common: Nausea, vomiting, headache
Rare: Severe allergic reactions, Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea
Precautions:
Inform your doctor if you have a history of allergies to antibiotics, especially cephalosporins
Use with caution in patients with kidney or liver disease
