Overview
Rifaxa 550mg Tab contains Rifaximin, an antibiotic used to treat traveler’s diarrhea caused by E. coli, irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-D), and to reduce the risk of hepatic encephalopathy in patients with liver disease.
Uses and Benefits
Traveler’s Diarrhea: Effective against E. coli infections in travelers.
IBS-D: Manages diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome.
Hepatic Encephalopathy: Lowers ammonia levels to prevent or manage symptoms in liver disease patients.
