Description

Risek (omeprazole) is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) prescribed for several conditions, including reflux esophagitis (GERD), characterized by stomach acid flowing back into the esophagus, causing heartburn. It also treats peptic ulcers, often linked to Helicobacter pylori infection, and chronic gastritis, inflammation of the stomach lining due to the same infection. Omeprazole reduces stomach acid production by inhibiting the proton pump in the stomach lining.
