Acsolve Topical Usage and Safety
Dosage: Clindamycin Phosphate
Side Effects:
Very Common (may affect more than 1 in 10 people): Skin irritation (burning, itching, peeling), hives, dryness, seborrhea (oily coating, crusts, or scales on the skin)
Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people): Gastrointestinal issues (diarrhea, nausea)
Frequency Not Known: Folliculitis (infection of hair follicles), eye stinging or pain, stomach ache, contact dermatitis (inflammation from irritants or allergens)
Drug Interactions: Keratolytics, neuromuscular blocking agents, erythromycin, vitamin K antagonists
Indication: Used topically for treating acne in adults as an anti-infective.
When Not to Use:
If allergic to clindamycin, lincomycin, or any other ingredients in this medicine
If you have a history of inflammatory bowel disease or antibiotic-associated colitis
Acsolve Topical Precautions:
Precaution: Discontinue use and consult your doctor if you experience severe, prolonged, or bloody diarrhea, as it may indicate pseudomembranous colitis.
Acsolve Topical Warnings:
Warning 1: Avoid applying near your mouth due to the unpleasant taste.
Warning 2: Continue using the product as directed, even if acne improves. Consult your doctor on when to stop treatment.
Warning 3: Avoid contact with eyes, inside the nose, or mouth. Rinse thoroughly with water if contact occurs.
