Description
BIC Capsules: The Gentle Iron SolutionBIC (Bisglycinate) capsules offer a unique and gentle approach to iron supplementation. Let’s explore what makes them special and how they can benefit your health.
1. What Is BIC (Bisglycinate)?
BIC is an extra gentle form of iron, designed for easy absorption without irritating the stomach or digestive system.
Iron is a vital mineral involved in the formation of healthy red blood cells, carrying oxygen and nutrients throughout the body.
Unlike traditional iron supplements, BIC doesn’t cause constipation, diarrhea, or stomach discomfort.
2. Mechanism of Action
The atomic structure of BIC shields ferrous (iron) from undesirable reactions in the stomach and intestines, enhancing absorption.
Disguised as an amino acid, BIC is rapidly absorbed by intestinal cells.
Its stability allows it to remain soluble across the entire gastrointestinal tract, maximizing absorption in the small intestine.
3. Added Vitamin C Boost
BIC capsules include Vitamin C, which aids in faster iron absorption.
Vitamin C enhances the assimilation of iron from the stomach into the bloodstream, making it one of the most effective ways to take iron supplements.
4. Therapeutic Indications
BIC is indicated for:
Iron deficiency anemia due to insufficient intake or impaired absorption.
Acute and chronic blood loss (e.g., infections).
Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
5. Dosage & Administration
Capsules: Take one capsule daily or follow your physician’s guidance.
Syrup: Each 5 ml contains 130 mg of ferrous bisglycinate (equivalent to 26 mg elemental iron). Adults take one teaspoon daily; children take half to one teaspoon.
6. Contraindications & Adverse Reactions
Avoid BIC if you’re hypersensitive to its ingredients or have conditions like hemochromatosis or liver cirrhosis.
Rare adverse effects include gastrointestinal issues (diarrhea, nausea, epigastric pain).
